Terms of Service

Effective: April 1, 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Budgenuity, a household budget tracking application operated by Make It Radder LLC("we," "us," or "our"). By signing in to Budgenuity, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

1. The Service

Budgenuityprovides tools for household budget tracking, including bank account connection via Plaid, transaction categorization, cashflow projections, spending insights, and financial goal tracking. The service is provided "as is" for personal, non-commercial household use.

2. Accounts & Authentication

You sign in using email magic link or Google OAuth. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your email and OAuth accounts. Each sign-in creates or accesses a household — you are responsible for all activity within your household.

You must provide accurate information. You may not create accounts for the purpose of abusing, harassing, or impersonating others.

3. Household Sharing

Budgenuity supports multi-user households. When you invite someone to your household, they gain access to all financial data within that household, including transactions, balances, budgets, and insights. You are responsible for who you invite.

Household admins can remove members at any time. Removed members immediately lose access to household data. We are not responsible for data that was viewed or copied by a household member before removal.

4. Bank Connections (Plaid)

Budgenuity uses Plaid to connect to your financial institutions. By connecting a bank account, you authorize Plaid to access your account information on your behalf. Your use of Plaid is also subject to the Plaid End User Services Agreement.

We are not a financial institution. We do not initiate payments, transfers, or any financial transactions on your behalf. We provide read-only access to your bank data for budgeting purposes.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' data, households, or accounts.
  • Abuse API rate limits, reverse-engineer the service, or attempt to extract data through automated means (scraping, bots).
  • Use the service to store data unrelated to household budgeting.
  • Share your account access or circumvent authentication controls.

6. Data & Privacy

Your privacy is important to us. Please review our Privacy Policy for details on how we collect, use, and protect your data.

You retain ownership of your financial data. You may export all your data or delete your account at any time from the Settings page. See our Privacy Policy for details on your rights under CCPA and similar laws.

7. Disclaimers

Budgenuity is not a financial advisor, tax advisor, or accounting service. The insights, projections, categorizations, budget analyses, and any other information we provide are automated estimates for informational purposes only. They do not constitute financial, investment, tax, or legal advice.

You should always consult a qualified fiduciary financial advisor before making any financial decisions. Budgenuity does not recommend specific investments, savings strategies, or financial products. Any goals, benchmarks, or suggestions shown in the application are general in nature and may not be appropriate for your individual financial situation.

The service is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement.

We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that bank connection syncs will be timely or complete. Bank data availability depends on Plaid and your financial institution.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Make It Radder LLC and its officers, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, revenue, or profits, arising from your use of or inability to use the service.

Our total cumulative liability for all claims related to the service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $100, whichever is greater.

9. Termination

You may stop using Budgenuity at any time by deleting your account from the Settings page. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, abuse the service, or if required by law.

Upon termination, your data will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy. If you delete your account, all data is permanently removed.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may modify these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of the service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the service shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in California.
